Perduras Digital Preservation

A preview of what's being preserved. The campus experience begins October 4, 2026.

History deserves a home

Trinity is more than transcripts and diplomas.

Trinity is you, and your years in Palos Heights. Trinity is the Chapel. The Dorms. The Commons. The places on campus where your story happened.

But when access to campus ends, your connection shouldn't.

Capturing Trinity Before Closure

Trinity Christian College officially authorized Perduras to preserve campus as a walkable virtual experience. Before the doors close, we are capturing the entire campus in 360° aerial and ground photography — buildings, halls, quads, and outdoor spaces.

Then we'll turn it into an immersive, walkable experience you can explore online from your phone or computer. Here's the timeline:

Mar 2026
Trinity establishes partnership
Jun 2026
Trinity is captured in 360° aerial and ground
Oct 4, 2026

Oct 2027+
Annual releases adding more of campus each year

The Cost of Preservation

Preserving Trinity as a virtual experience involves two things.

First, creating it. That means building a dedicated platform and producing the virtual experience itself. This takes expertise, specialized equipment, months of work, and significant funding. We're covering all of that as part of a founding preservation initiative.

Second, keeping it alive. That means hosting, maintenance, updates, and other ongoing costs every year. That's where subscriptions come in.

We'll let you know when the virtual experience is live.

Built by people who know this loss

We're Ashley and Shalom, founders of Egents — a virtual experience company based in Northwest Iowa.

Ashley studied abroad through Trinity's Semester In Spain program. Ashley's dad's college no longer exists. Shalom can't visit part of his parents' history because the neighborhood was gone before he could see it.

We know the loss of places that matter.

So we're preserving Trinity.

Everything you need to know

How did this begin?

Ashley studied abroad through Trinity's Semester In Spain program. Her dad's college is gone. Shalom can't walk part of his parents' history — it was redeveloped. When Trinity announced its closure, we felt the loss you felt. So we reached out, and the partnership was born.

What exactly will I be able to see and do?

You'll be able to walk through Trinity's campus the way you remember it — not watch a video of it. Move through the Chapel. Step into residence halls. Cross the quad. It's navigable, explorable, and accessible from your phone or computer.

When does it launch, and do I pay now?

Perduras launches October 4, 2026 — Trinity's traditional homecoming weekend. A date chosen to honor the tradition of coming back.

You pay nothing today. Joining the waitlist simply reserves your founding subscriber rate of $60/year — $15 less than the standard rate after launch. We'll email you the moment it's live.

What if I join the waitlist and change my mind?

The waitlist is just that — a list. You'll hear from us when it launches. If it's not for you at that point, you don't subscribe. No pressure, no automatic charges.

How is this different from photos or videos of Trinity?

Photos show you a moment. Videos show you a path someone else chose. Perduras lets you decide where to go. You navigate the space yourself — which room to enter, which hallway to follow. It's the difference between watching someone else visit and visiting yourself.

Can I give a subscription as a gift?

A Perduras subscription makes a meaningful gift for a fellow Trinity alum, a former faculty member, or anyone whose life was shaped by the college. Gifting will be available in the future. If you want to be notified specifically about gifting options, mention it in the notes field when you join the waitlist.

How does the release schedule work?

The October 4, 2026 release will be the first of four annual releases. Each release adds more of campus until Trinity is fully preserved. As a subscriber, every new release is yours automatically.

Four releases because creating a true immersive virtual experience is not quick. It takes months of work, specialized equipment, careful processing, post-production, and quality review before it's ready for you to walk through.

What happens if Perduras shuts down?

We built Perduras because we believe institutions like Trinity deserve to last beyond their physical walls. Subscriptions are what keep it running — hosting, maintenance, and annual updates are real ongoing costs. As long as there are subscribers, Trinity stays online. If that ever changed, we would give subscribers meaningful advance notice and explore every option to keep it accessible.

Perduras is a digital preservation platform preserving closing educational institutions as immersive walkable virtual experiences. Trinity Christian College, located in Palos Heights, Illinois, is permanently closing in May 2026. Perduras is the official digital preservation partner of Trinity Christian College, authorized by the leadership of Trinity Christian College. Perduras will conduct aerial and ground 360° capture of the full Trinity campus before closure. The first immersive walkable virtual experience launches October 4, 2026, with additional releases annually through 2029. Founding subscriber access is available for $60/year; standard access is $75/year after launch.
